Practice Areas

VEHICULAR ACCIDENTS

Demo has extensive experience handling car, tractor-trailer, bus, pedestrian and bicycle accident cases that have resulted in serious personal injury or death.

He begins every case with an immediate investigation, which may involve visiting the crash scene, obtaining and reviewing the police report and interviewing key witnesses. In cases involving major crashes, he may engage experts to perform vehicle inspections or analyze crash data where appropriate.

Demo also assists clients in communicating with insurance carriers to get their vehicles repaired and in obtaining any medical benefits they may be entitled to under their own automobile insurance policies.

An experienced negotiator, Demo knows how to conduct negotiations with the other driver or operator’s insurance company so that the settlement offer is maximized. Demo prepares each case as if it is headed to trial. This ensures that Demo is ready to take your case to trial if the offer is unfair.

PREMISES LIABILITY

Demo represents individuals in cases involving serious injury or wrongful death due to the negligence of property owners, such as owners of retail establishments, office buildings, airports, and apartment buildings. These cases often involve a claim that an unreasonably dangerous condition existed on the property that caused the victim’s injury, such as a wet floor, a pothole, various other trip and fall hazards, or a malfunctioning elevator. Demo has extensive experience litigating such premises liability cases in state and federal courts.

If you believe that you have been seriously injured due to a dangerous condition existing on another property, please contact Demo for a free consultation.

MEDICAL MALPRACTICE

Healthcare providers have a duty to provide care that meets a certain standard – this is known as “the standard of care.” If they fail to meet this standard, and their failure results in injuries and damages to the patient, then the healthcare provider can be held liable for those injuries and damages.

Determining whether a particular healthcare provider has violated the standard of care and whether the violation has resulted in injuries and damages to the patient can be very complex and factually intensive. Usually, one or more medical experts are needed to answer these questions.

Demo has extensive experience working with medical experts in medical malpractice cases. During his career, he has worked with many different types of medical experts, such as neurosurgeons, plastic surgeons, oncologists, otolaryngologists, and anesthesiologists. And if the case results in a trial, Demo knows how to take a complex set of medical facts or opinions and simplify them so that they can be more readily understood by a jury.
